Westcliff on Sea - All Saints

Normally locked no keyholder listed, All Saints was preparing for a Saturday jumble sale so I gained access - I rather wish I hadn't since I'd be hard pressed to name a redeeming feature. To be fair the jumble sale organisers were very welcoming unlike at Thorpe Bay.

ALL SAINTS, Southchurch Road. 1888 by Brooks (GR). The S two W bays 1934. Long, towerless building of even red bricks. Inside, square chamfered piers without capitals, decorated by broad alternating bands of brick and stone. The roof very high up of a semicircular wagon type. The chancel arch has a large triple arch above, as the chancel is not lower than the nave. The E end is straight and has two tiers of lancets, the upper tier stepped. - WAR MEMORIAL by Sir Charles Nicholson.
